Cookie Policy
Which cookies and browser storage TimerHub uses, what each is for, and how to turn it off.
Last updated: November 4, 2026
The short version
- TimerHub sets no cookies of its own, and no tool needs a cookie to work.
- Google Analytics sets two analytics cookies, except for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where it sets none.
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights use no cookies.
- There are no advertising cookies, because the site shows no ads.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device; unlike cookies, it is never sent with requests to a server. This policy covers both. For how we handle data more broadly, see the privacy policy.
Analytics cookies
These are set by Google Analytics 4 on timerhub.app so we can count visits and see which tools are used. Google signals and advertising features are off. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland don't get these cookies: Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode for them.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor's page views apart from another's. | 2 years |
_ga_KS0GG8CSLL | Google Analytics | Keeps the current visit together so it is counted once. | 2 years |
Cookie-free measurement
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, from our hosting provider, count page views and measure loading speed without setting cookies or storing anything on your device, and they don't follow you to other websites. See the Vercel Analytics privacy notes.
Preferences kept on your device
These are saved in your browser's local storage so the tools remember your choices. They are not cookies, they are never sent to us, and they stay until you clear them.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Theme | Light, dark or system appearance. |
| World clock and tool settings | Your cities, timer and alarm settings, visual timer style and reaction-test best. |
| Pomodoro focus history | When each completed focus session ran, shown under the Pomodoro timer. |
Advertising cookies
None. TimerHub shows no ads. If that changes, we will update this page before any advertising cookie is set and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How to control cookies
- Block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings. Every tool keeps working; only your saved preferences are lost when you clear site data.
- Install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Content blockers that block
googletagmanager.comstop Google Analytics without affecting any tool.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when the cookies we use change, and revise the date at the top. Questions can be sent through the contact form.
