How do you count days from today?
Today is day 0 and tomorrow is day 1, so 30 days from today is the date 30 calendar days after today. Weekends and holidays are included unless you use a business-days calculator.
Is a month the same as 30 days?
No. Adding 1 month moves to the same day number in the next month (e.g. March 15 → April 15), while 30 days is exactly 30 calendar days. Choose the unit that matches your contract or deadline.
What if the start date is the 31st and the next month is shorter?
Adding months clamps to the last day of the shorter month — for example, January 31 + 1 month is February 28 (or 29 in a leap year).
